  • Godwin Theatre Wing invites you to Urinetown, May 4-6! In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company. A hero decides that he’s had enough and plans a revolution! Godwin students bring you this hilarious, award-winning musical in three shows: May 4 & 5 at 7:00 p.m. and May 6 at 2:00 p.m. Learn more and buy tickets at godwintheatre.org/urinetown.html.
  • Attendance Office: You can now email the Godwin attendance office at godwinattendance@henrico.k12.va.us for absences or tardies or with questions about your student’s attendance.  The attendance office still does not accept early dismissal requests over the phone or via email.
  • Henrico County Public Schools Dress Code:  As the weather gets warmer, please review the HCPS dress code with your child.  The issues that we see most at Godwin with dress code are students wearing hats and hoods, shorts and skirts that are not at thumb-length when hands are placed at the sides, clothing with inappropriate messaging, and clothing revealing the midriff.  If the dress code is not followed, there could be a need for your child to change clothing.  Thank you for your help with this.
  • Exam Exemption:  Seniors and students enrolled in AP classes are eligible for exam exemption if they meet the Henrico County exam exemption policy requirements.
  • Summer School:  Here is information about summer school opportunities and registration information.
    • Virtual Virginia Registration:  All courses taken for initial credit will be through Virtual Virginia.
    • HCPS Summer Registration: Course registration opened on April 11th.  Here is the Henrico County summer academy website.
    • Economics and Personal Finance Longwood University Course:   Henrico County Public Schools is connecting with Longwood University to offer Henrico students the opportunity to take online Economics and Personal Finance this summer.  The cost of the course is $50, and students will register directly with Longwood.  Registration will open in late March and end June 9th, and the course will run from June 26th-July 29th.  Rising 9th and 10th grade students who have a 3.0 GPA and have successfully completed Algebra I are eligible to register.  Registration is open through Longwood University’s site: http://www.longwood.edu/personalfinance/
    • Here are summer camp opportunities at Virginia State University.
