Dear Eagles,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. I am honored to be serving as your principal this year. I graduated from Mills E. Godwin High School and then went on to James Madison University where I studied English and education. I earned my master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have spent over 25 years in education as a middle school teacher, a coordinator of assessment and remediation, and an administrator. In 2010, I began serving on the administrative team at Godwin as assistant and associate, and this is my ninth year as principal here. Godwin is a second home to me, and I am so excited to be able to serve this community that is so dear to me.

Godwin pride runs deep among our students, parents, and staff. I share that pride immensely because our teachers provide a means for a powerful educational experience for all our students, our students have so many unique talents and gifts, and we have the most supportive families with whom I have ever worked.
