Eagles' class of 2024!

Scholarships & GRASP Advisor

  • Here are the scholarship opportunities available to Godwin students. This list is updated every other week throughout the year and includes scholarship opportunities that will be awarded to Godwin students, HCPS students, Richmond-area students and more.

  • Our GRASP Advisor, Cathy Semel, will be at Godwin every Tuesday. Her office hours will be 10am-3pm.  Students and their families can make appointments through school counseling.

Graduation Tickets

  • Graduates will receive 7 Commencement tickets each. However, no tickets will be released until all obligations are cleared, which includes returning computers, books, uniforms, clearing café accounts, fundraising dues, etc. Furthermore, students must present complete and proper graduation attire at the Graduation practice on May 28th.

If you require additional tickets, you can request the Additional Ticket Request Form. This form will be available on May 14th and 15th during laptop collection. An electronic copy of the form will be sent out on May 16th, and hard copies will be available in the Main Office beginning May 16th. Note that a limited number of extra tickets are available, and all requests must be turned in to the Main Office by 1:30 pm, Wednesday, May 22nd via a hard copy of the official request form. Please be advised that no extra tickets are guaranteed, regardless of when the form is received at the front office.

It is highly recommended that families talk to each other and pass along tickets not needed by one family to families who require more. If you do not need all 7 tickets, you may complete this form by 9:00 am on Tuesday, May 7th to report the number of tickets you would like to donate back for distribution to families who requested more.

Those students who do not follow the dress requirements as specified will not be allowed to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.  Full proper graduation attire is also required at the Graduation Practice to pick up graduation tickets (& parking passes, if applicable).

In keeping with the dignity of these ceremonies, the Henrico County Public School Board approves school-awarded regalia such as honor cords may be worn with the cap and gown. Nothing may be added to the graduation cap or gown. The following regalia may be worn to graduation and other senior events.

Tassels

  • All students will receive a red & white tassel in their gown package. Students with a GPA of 3.5 and above will have the opportunity to switch out the red tassel for a gold tassel on May 10th  during cap & tassel distribution.  If you choose to also keep the red tassel, it can be purchased for a nominal fee. Those students will receive more information in April.
