HCPS is replacing the Community Service Seal that students can earn on their diploma with a Life Ready Learning Seal.
Life Ready Learning is defined as unpaid experiences inside and outside the school day that help develop students’ readiness for the world beyond graduation. Through these learning experiences students will develop the durable skills of the Henrico Learner Profile and reflect upon that growth. Students still need 80 hours of LRL during high school to earn the seal. Instead of just logging the hours, they now must reflect on their learning in writing and submit their reflection.

In broadening the scope of what students can do to earn hours, and in requiring their reflection on how these experiences impact them post-High School, we hope more students will directly benefit from this program! Questions can be sent to Kent Givens.
