YAY CHRISTINA NAGI! Christina Nagi, a nutrition and wellness teacher at Godwin High School, is today's "Yay of the Day" honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently at Godwin.
YAYWORTHY:
Nominator Mika Bartolome said,
"I was actually reluctant to take her Nutrition and Wellness class at first since I thought I would learn it at ACE. But Ms. Nagi's lesson plans changed my perspective. From helping students resolve conflict to bringing their work to outside the classroom, she's dedicated to hands-on learning. As a result, I've gained more confidence on leadership, communication and inside the kitchen. That confidence that I learned expanded outside the classroom when I gained the confidence to go to HOSA Virginia SLC for a nutrition event. Even though it was for the ACE Center, a big part of motivation was Ms. Nagi's class. I would recommend any of her classes in the future to anyone going to Godwin. Her hands-on approach teaches even someone who thought they knew it all. Learning from a textbook is one thing, but having hands-on experience is a new thing."
Nominator Keilla Putinas said,
"She is very strong even in the weakest moments of our class! She makes a positive impact on students' fun and happiness even after hard and stressful days."
Thank you for all you do, Christina Nagi, to make a positive difference and move HCPS forward!
